Articles of Faith
- We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. We affirm that the Holy Bible is the sole and sufficient rule for life and doctrine, warning against elevating personal revelation or emotional experiences above the written Word. (2 Tim 3:16)
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19)
- We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is truly God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew: 1:23, John1:1, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
- We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man’s salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis1:27, Romans 5-12, Titus 3:5)
- We believe that life begins at conception. (Psalms 139:13-16) and that God wonderfully and immutable creates each person biologically as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of God’s immutable providence.
- We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior. (John 1:12)
- We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord’s Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man’s salvation. (Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 11:26)
- We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for a dynamic and zealous life of service for Him while waiting for His return. (Hebrews 9.28, Galatians 6:9-10)
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell. Daniel (12:2)
- We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. (1Timothy 3:5, 1 Corinthains 11:3) Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.(Matthew 19:4-6)
- We believe in the autonomy of the local church whose head is the Lord Jesus Christ. The church shall manage its own affairs governed and served by elders and deacons as prescribed in Scripture. And shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization. (Acts 20:28, Matthew 22:21)
- We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Christ’s Church as a local body, and to provide a biblical role model to The Church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed in any capacity, or serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by these Articles of Faith on the matters of Marriage, Gender and sexuality. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; I Thessalonians 5:22).
